I got a box of these at no charge, due to some rather important discrepancies between ingredients on the webpage and the wrapper, of another bar.
I liked them alright, if for nothing else than the chocolate coating (I had peanut-butter-choc) and the high cals. They are fairly dry, as others have noted, but not as dry as others I've tried. The taste was okay, but still was very "artificial". The price is the issue, I think. Bars are very convenient, especially for trips, but in terms of bang-for-your-buck, a protein-maltodex shake can't be beat. So, at $2.50/bar, I'm just not sure that I can justify it. |
