I read a lot about L-leucine, and it looked great!
To do a short story, this amino basically tell to your body that we have what wee need to go anabolic. The Anabolic activator! Awesome!! splendid!! tremendous!!
First I follow a pretty strict diet. ISO caloric spread in 9 meals. Only clean food. I zigzag the calorie. Once a while, I do a 5 day Keto to cut fat.
But … after 3 tub of Leucine 500grams (25grams per day, pre and post workout shake and trough the day with meal), I must say … It is absolutely impossible to me to talk about the effectiveness of it because it in fact do nothing observable.
My L-leucine level is probably trough the roof since 3 month now. If not totally overkill … And … nothing noticeable…
I guess my body don’t need extra Leucine supplementation to build muscle …
Probably some new BS from the supplements industry … again ….
By the way, I just read Mike Menzer nutrition guide yesterday, and according to him … Even Whey protein … is useless if you eat properly. In fact you need no more than 16calories / day over maintenance to be able to build around 10 lbs of muscle a year which is according to him probably the maximum you can grow the natural way. Then I thought … you know those guy in prison who train almost every day and grow big … They eat the same food than the other … only difference they train very hard … They probably don’t take Leucine …. ;-)
