A very good post-workout carb. I use about 2.5 scoops post-workout with 40 grams of whey isolate, 5 grams of BCAAs, and 5 grams of Glutamine. Unlike most people, I mix the WMS in with my protein because the carbohydrates help shuttle the protein into the muscles,and I feel that it won't significantly delay it. However, there are arguements for taking it by itself to "get the fastest effect."... to each his own...
But, after an hour, I know that the isolate and WMS are out of my system, so I do have a full meal about 1-1.5 hours after the shake.
Mixes well and I only taste the chocolate protein. |
