Basically your getting what you pay for with this product and any NOW products. The taste is like cooking coco and I'm not sure but mine always had clumps of real sticky stuff in it that I would try to drink around, lucky for me what ever it was usually would stick to the side of the cup. This product as well as other NOW products I've tried always ends up with me going back to the more expensive brands.
