OK...so I haven't really seen any reviews on the new version of No-Shotgun (V3) so I thought I'd contribute. The reviewer that posted hasn't used V3 as it wasn't available and they indicated that they've been using it for some time. Probably the second iteration...in any case...on to the review.
I've been using both No-Shotgun V3 and Synthesize for a little over a month now and I can honestly say that it's been noticeably improved from the previous formula. For those that don't know, Synthesize is basically the same formula as No-Shotgun minus the stimulant so they're positioned to be a pre- and post-workout stack. So with the exception of the stimulant, the review applies to applies to both.
Taste: 8/10 - while this isn't as "tasty" as some other supplements such as No-Explode, for example, VPX has improved upon the taste of the previous version. Personally, I didn't find the older versions as repulsive as a lot of people did but to each their own. V3 definitely has an improved taste though. It comes in two flavors: Exotic Fruit and Black Cherry. My preference is the Exotic Fruit...the Black Cherry makes me think of cherry flavored medicine. It's not bad...just not my preferred flavor of the two. I believe that Synthesize only comes in Exotic Fruit at this time.
Mixability: 9/10 - this is an area that has definitley been improved on from previous versions. There are no longer the "floaters" that just won't mix. Just throw it in a glass or shaker bottle with some water and a couple of stirs or shakes and you're good.
Energy: 9/10 - I haven't compared labels of V3 against the previous version but I can say based on my experience that the energy factor has been bumped up. I have a pretty good tolerance for stimulants and used the old formula all the time in the evening and was able to go to sleep just fine. However, be forewarned that V3 has higher and longer-lasting effects. The first time I took it I was up all night. Since starting it I've built up a little bit of a tolerance but still have to take some melatonin to drift off to sleepy time. In all honestly, one could take Synthesize instead if working out in the evening, but where's the fun in that!
Strength: 9/10 - my weights went up from the very first time taking this. I don't know if it was just the stimulants or the other goodies but regardless my strength immediately went up. Can't complain about that.
Pump: 9/10 - I get a nice healthy pump off of this. I wouldn't say it's "insane" as some products claim with "roadmap veins" popping out everywhere, but I definitely get a good pump with some increased vascularity. I also have some "residual" pump...after the workout and the next day. Again...nothing "insane" but some none the less.
Size: 9/10 - you know this really has to do primarily with nutrition but I can say that this stack has me looking fuller without the bloated look that other creatine products give. It's a "drier" look if you will.
Overall I'm very happy with this stack. I'm a creatine non-responder so for my strength and size to increase is a good thing and not something that I typically experience with other products. My advice would be to give it a try if you're interested and/or thinking about it. I would also advise against buying these in a retail store as you can get them so much cheaper online. Look around and you can get them for about $40 each or $80 for the stack.
Hope this helps! |
