I was very disappointed in R-ALA especially after reading all the positive reviews on it. I prefer ALA over R-ALA. I was told R-ALA is superior to ALA at a much smaller dosage. This simply is not true from my experience. Playing around with the dosages, I believe 200mgs(maybe 300mgs) of R-ALA equals the 300mg ALA capsules. Although I didn't think the 200mg R-ALA dosages were as effective as the 300mg ALA capsules. This makes taking R-ALA very expensive.
Let's do some math:
ALA 180 capsules. 1 capsule taken 4 times daily=45 day supply for $19.99.
R-ALA 100 capsules. 2 capsules taken 4 times daily=12 2/3 day supply for $15.
Not very cost efficient when compared to the ALA in my opinion. I'll stick with good old ALA. I can't justify spending more than twice the price. I even had better pumps from the ALA. |
