Review:

I started taking epistane back in early October. At the time, I was going to try going two weeks on, two weeks off. After only a week and a half on, I got food poisoning and stopped taking it after realizing I wasn't getting over the illness over night. At that point, I hadn't heard anything about the bottles with a black top until very recently, but I noticed right away that my attitude changed dramatically when I stopped taking it that first time. I felt depressed all the time, days after the illness subsided. That side-effect made me think twice about trying it again. Those depressed feelings went away fairly quickly (3-4 days), but they were pretty dramatic by my usual happy, go-lucky attitude.

After a month (and some serious thought) I started a 4 week cycle of Epistane at 30mg/day. At two weeks in, I wasn't gaining much more then usual during a good bulking cycle, but that is when I read about the black top epistane, which I was still using. I had ordered a second bottle before the start of this cycle which was white topped, and I switched to it right away. That is when the gains started. So, it's really only been a good 2 and a half weeks of good Epistane that I've actually been on, but during that month (as of December 13th) I've made some good gains. Here are a few examples...

Cycle from Nov 15 - Dec 13 Heavy Duty training
Incline bench; started 205lb for 10, Ended 235 for 9 (so pretty close to 30lbs gain)
Decline bench; up 20lbs
Leg extension; up 25lbs and 5 reps
Leg curl; up 20lbs
One arm rows; started 80 for 20reps, ended 110 for 27 reps (I use my own gym and don't have heavier dumbbells)
Military press; up 20lbs and 5 reps (wow!)

Keep in mind that I paid more attention to my diet during a bulking phase then I probably ever have in the past. I worked out every other day, and took two days off after leg day to allow for fuller recovery. Weight-wise, I would honestly say I gained about 7 real pounds, 5 being pure muscle. To me, that is quite a bit. Those that can gain 11 solid pounds off of anything in 4 weeks probably gained a lot due to paying closer attention to their diet and training during the cycle.
