This is probably the best, most absorbable form of arginine I've ever used. I used 2 grams of this stacked with 200 mg. of l-norvaline (amino acid that INHIBITS the enzyme ARGINASE which breaks down, you guessed it, arginine) twice a day on an empty stomach, in between meals. This results in an even greater amount of arginine available for nitric oxide production. Pumps are the best I've had with any NO supplement I've ever used. Also, my muscles retain a fuller look and feeling long after the workout. The only way this powder could be better is if a timed-release formula came out (don't know if that's even possible). On a side note, I've read that when supplementing with single amino acids (ex. tyrosine, tryptophan, arginine etc.) it's better NOT to take it WITH meals. Why? Because the single supplemented amino acid has to compete with all the other aminos you just ingested, resulting in a diminished response. In the case of arginine, this means less NO produced. However, stacking with l-norvaline, l-citrulline, and l-ornithine is o.k., even desirable, because those particular aminos have a synergistic effect with arginine in respect to NO production. WARNING : Arginine Ethyl Ester does not taste good. But who gives shit. At 4 grams/day it's really cheap, and is as good or better than most overpriced NO products out there. Just suck it up. Mix it with a small glass water and down it in 2-3 seconds. Then 40 minutes later have a great workout! |
