In addition, they are involved in the transport and metabolism of cholesterol and triglycerides. Essential fatty acids are further metabolized into hormone-like substances in the cell known as prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are involved in the reulation of many important physiological functions.*

NOW® Flax Seed Oil has been specially processed to be as close as possible to the original oil in the seed. The oil is cold pressed at about 100o F by a special process which eliminates the destructive effects of both light and air. The oil is nitrogen flushed when the bottle is filled to maintain freshness until opened.

Suggested Use:
As an herbal supplement, take one tablespoon 1 to 2 times daily.
